The citizen had installed an unregistered industrial band-type sawmill machine in a specially equipped building structure.
Various types of timber were also found on the territory.
Since the case contains elements of a criminal offense, the materials have been forwarded to the relevant authority for further action.
Within the framework of combating illegal use of forest resources, one of the main objectives of the Department of Environmental Supervision is to minimize the number of illegal sawmills across the country. As a result of implemented and ongoing measures, a reduction in cases of illegal forest use and unregistered sawmills has been observed in almost all regions in recent years.
